How to Install Tape In Extensions
You asked for it… and we got it! TAPE IN EXTENSIONS ARE HERE !!! Tape-In extensions are available in Russian blonde, Chestnut, and Dirty Blonde. Did you know one application of tape-in extensions can last from 4-12 weeks! To apply a whole head of tape hair only takes about 30 minutes with a bit of practice. This is a real time saver and the results can be spectacular!
How To Apply Tape Extensions
Step 1: Section your hair horizontally in line with the tips of your ears, making sure you start from the bottom of the neck. This will make it easier for you when applying the tape hair extensions.
Step 2: Begin by placing the first tape hair extension onto your hair. Be careful not to apply the extension too close to the root of the hair, this should allow the tape extension to move and sit comfortably without pulling on your hair and causing too much friction between your scalp and the roots of your hair. With this method, you are allowing for the tape hair extensions to also be styled in an updo without pulling on your roots too much. Otherwise, the tape hair extensions could potentially be uncomfortable, unable to style, and could cause damage or inflammation to the scalp.
Step 3: Raise the extension up, clipping it to the hair you tied away at the top. It is normal for your hair to attach itself up to the tape hair extension.
Step 4: Take your second tape in hair extension and apply it by pressing it tightly against your hair with the first tape extension that you have already clipped up. Your tape extensions are now neatly stuck together with your own hair sitting comfortably in between.
Step 5: Repeat the above steps, ensuring that the tape hair extensions are sitting side by side with a 1cm distance in between each extension, to also allow for some movement over time.
Step 6: Complete your first row of tape, and then move up to your second row 1 inch above the first row and work your way up on your head. Remember not to place your extensions too far onto the sides of your head or extensions may become visible.
