FAQ About HAIRFLEEK Hair Extensions
Why do some hair extensions become dry after the first few washes?
Chemicals, heat and lack of moisture. Over washing hair extensions, frequent flat ironing or curling hair with curling irons and wands, not using a silk scarf to wrap hair at night these are the main 3 reasons to your dry hair extension.
What will fix my dry hair extensions problem?
Use organic and sulfate free shampoo’s, moisturize and treat your hair extensions. Avoid shampoo and conditioning products which use Sulfates, Isopropyl Alcohol, Formaldehyde and Propylene Glycol, these are strong chemicals which will strip the hair of natural oils and leave them dry and sometimes damaged if used for a prolonged period of time.
What Does Co-Wash Mean?
Co-washing means conditioner washing. It is a key task in extending the life of your extensions and keeping them healthy. We recommend a co-wash once every week and a half with a moisturizing conditioner to ensure your hair gets the nutrients and moisture it needs. Always use WARM water, as hot water will overexpose the cuticle of the hair.
How Many Bundles Should I Order For a Full Sew-In?
The key to determining how many bundles to purchase depends on the length of extensions you want. The longer bundles have a shorter weft as the shorter bundles have longer wefts. For a full sew in weave we recommend 2-3 bundles of hair. For lengths over 20”, we recommend ordering 3-4 bundles of hair. If you desire a hair weave with a lot of volume, you will need 4-5 bundles.
